Welcome

Welcome to Dulverton Middle and Community School
Proud member of The Exmoor Federation

Exmoor is a wonderful environment in which to spend your childhood. As in all other areas, school is key to the process of growing up into successful and healthy individuals, who can make a positive contribution to society. It is our responsibility to help our children discover and develop their abilities and employ them in improving their educational standards and opportunities in life. We are an inclusive school and and believe in valuing individuals for what they are good at and giving them confidence in themselves and
engender an apetite for learning.

At Dulverton Middle School we provide the broadest curriculum possible to create opportunities for pupils to demonstrate their unique intelligence; whether reading, writing, drawing, leading people, understanding their environment and nature or working out mathematical problems. We provide a safe and secure environment in which all individuals are respected and valued. Our pupils respond in a very mature and positive way,
in fact last term Ofsted judged their behaviour to be outstanding.

The school is now famous for it's unique Exmoor Curriculum, the sense of responsibility and belonging it engenders and the opportunities and exciting activities it provides. We work closely with Exmoor National Park Authority to provide opportunities to learn outdoors, and we are currently in the process of setting up an NVQ programme in practical conservation skills for Years 7 & 8.

On the basis that happy pupils learn best we try to make school too good to miss!
